The shore north-west from Aberdovey is mostly sandy and backed by low dunes. Parking is at a long layby is conveniently situated on the A493 (west side) about 1½ miles north-west of Aberdovey, opposite a cemetery (Grid Ref : SN596971). From here, a public footpath crosses the Cambrian Coast railway, golf links and dunes to the beach which, because of its location, has become known as Cemetery Beach. Dogs are allowed at all times.
