Porth y Cychod & Porth Llydan

Porth y Cychod

Porth y Cychod and Porth Llydan are two neighbouring coves of shingle backed by grassy banks, on the Llyn Peninsula's northern coast. Porth y Cychod (above) is the smaller, and has several delapidated shacks behind the beach. Porth Llydan (below) is slighly wider.

Parking is available overlooking nearby Porth Ysgaden - just a short walk away.

Porth y Cychod translates as 'Cove of the Boats' and Porth Llydan as 'Wide cove'. The photos were taken at mid-tide.
