Porth Ysglaig is a mostly stony beach, backed by grass-covered slopes and a caravan park. On the other side of the small headland is Porth Caseg - a small cove of coarse sand and rocks to which access is a bit of a scramble down the slopes and rocks. 'Porth Caseg' translates as 'Mare Cove'.
