Traeth Bychan is a popular beach for watersports, and is home to the Red Wharf Bay sailing club. Other activities include jet-skiing, wind-surfing and swimming. At high tide the beach divides into two - a sandy beach to the north, and a shingle-backed sandy beach to the south. There are two slipways and nearby a beach shop / cafe. Dogs are allowed at all times, and a Beach Warden is in attendance from late May until early September. Parking is at a P&D car park which has toilets with disabled facilities.
