Conwy Morfa Beach

Conwy Morfa Beach

Conwy Morfa Beach is a wide exposed beach west of the Afon Conwy (river), and is mostly sand backed by some shingle and low dunes. Behind these are a golf course and the Morfa Conwy SSSI. The main (free) car park is at Grid Ref: SH761786, reached by turning off the A55 at the Conwy junction (towards the sea) and turning left towards the holiday park. Another parking area is located by the marina at Grid Ref: SH773791, and is attended at busy times.

Dogs are allowed at all times. There are extensive sandbanks at low tide which can become cut off from the rest of the beach on an incoming tide.

The photos were taken 2 hours before low tide.
