Porth-y-garan is a small inlet on Anglesey's Holy Island which divides into smaller coves on the high tide. It is mostly shingle with some small patches of sand and backed by a caravan park. The nearest (roadside) parking is towards the end of Ravenspoint Road, but places here are quickly taken. The name 'Porth-y-garan' translates as 'Heron Cove'.

The photos were taken 2½ hours before high tide.
