Porth y Pwll & Porth yr Afon

Porth y Pwll

Porth y Pwll (above) and Porth yr Afon are two of a series of small sheltered coves just south of Holyhead consisting of sand and shingle, backed by a sea wall. A road (Lon Isallt) runs behind the beaches. Roadside parking is possible behind Porth y Pwll. There are no facilities at these beaches, but Trearddur Bay has good facilities and is just a short walk away.
