Dale is situated on the north side of the Milford Haven at the end of the B4327. Being east facing and sheltered it is a popular venue for watersports particularly windsurfing, sailing and water skiing, and is home to a water sports centre.
The beach is made up of sand and stones, and the sea is cluttered with assorted buoys. A dog ban operates on the northern section of the beach up as far as the rocks, from May to September inclusive. Parking is at a small, landscaped P&D car park. Westdale Bay, on the other side of the peninsula, is a short walk away and a better choice for a day at the beach.
Dale has good facilities including toilets ♿, a slipway, a cafe with outdoor seating, a pub, a post office/stores and a restaurant. The village also has a tediously long one-way system.
