Porth Sychan is a secluded cove just east of Strumble Head. There is good parking at Strumble Head, from where the coastal path can be followed to Porth Sychan. The beach is mostly pebbles and shingle, with three small streams emerging onto the shore. There are strong currents just offshore, but swimming within the bay is generally safe. Seals can often be seen along this stretch of coast.
