Pwllstrodur is a small secluded cove between Abermawr and Abercastle. Access is via the coastal path, or for an easier route, take the road out of Abercastle (there are some places to park along here), follow the farm road on the left for about ½ mile and take the footpath on the left through a field to the beach.
The shore consists of dark sand and pebbles of slate, flanked by cliffs of slates and shale. The name 'Pwllstrodur' translates as 'Saddle Pool'.
The photos were taken at low tide.
