The beach at Seatown is reached along a narrow lane from the village of Chideock on the A35. A small P&D car park overlooks the shore, and facilities include toilets and a pub (The Anchor Inn). The shore is mostly small shingle and the river Winniford enters the sea here. West of the beach is Golden Cap - the highest point on England's south coast at 627 feet.

Dogs are not allowed from May until September inclusive.

The photo shows the beach looking west towards Golden Cap, with Lyme Regis in the distance.
