Porth y Cychod and Porth Llydan are two neighbouring coves of shingle backed by grassy banks, on the Llŷn Peninsula's northern coast. Porth y Cychod (above) is about 50 yards wide, and has several delapidated fishermans' shacks behind the beach. Porth Llydan (Grid Ref : SH222374) is slighly wider at about 120 yards.
Parking is available overlooking nearby Porth Ysgaden - just a short walk away.
Porth y Cychod translates as 'Cove of the Boats' and Porth Llydan as 'Wide cove'. The photos were taken at mid-tide.
